Do you have an idea for a book that you'd like us to consider?

We welcome new ideas for books.  If you have something that you think might interest us, please contact us at info@kestrelrailwaybooks.co.uk with a brief synopsis, and we will send you a copy of our author's questionnaire.

Please do not send unsolicited manuscripts.  If, when we have received your completed questionnaire, we would like to consider your proposal further, we will invite you to send us a sample of your material.

Please don't worry if you don't think your idea is "big" enough to warrant a book.  Our Great Western Aspects series of booklets is typically between 40 and 60 pages - too large for a magazine article, but perhaps too small for a full-scale book.  In time, we hope that Great Western Aspects will build into a comprehensive series on the GWR, and given suitable material, will also be repeated for other railway companies.  If you have something you think might interest us... let us know!

If we decide your idea isn’t really for us, that’s not necessarily the end of the road.  We always try to offer practical suggestions that might make the idea more appealing to us, or (if appropriate) suggest alternative ways that your project might reach a wider audience – even if not as a Kestrel railway book.
